Jeffrey A. Cohen
Jeffrey A. Cohen is an ERC Consulting Practitioner with a strong background in inclusive special education practices, student motivation and creating classroom community, and using bodily kinesthetics to promote achievement, wellness, and self-awareness.
Jeffrey is the creator of Second Wind, a unique program that can be implemented in the classroom that uses stretching, visualization breathing techniques, meditation, and structured play activities to help students re-focus, reduce distraction and anxiety, and extend concentration. He also supports teachers with strategies for classroom management, group work and on-line instruction.
Mr. Cohen holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts-Boston and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Northeastern University. Jeffrey has teaching experience in a range of settings, including as Integrated Science instructor and Advisor at the award-winning Fenway Pilot High School in Boston, and teaching Biology at the South Shore Charter School. He also served as a capacity coach at the Center for Collaborative Education in Boston, supporting professional development and project design for middle schools.
