Sharon Lloyd Clark

Sharon Lloyd Clark is a career educator, accomplished in a number of diverse arenas who brings to ERC a stellar background in leadership, partnerships and fund-raising.

At Brown University she served as Associate Director of the M.A.T. program and Director of the Institute for Secondary and Middle School Education. While the Coalition of Essential Schools and Theodore Sizer were located at Brown, Ms. Lloyd Clark directed their innovative College Admissions Project, working with college admissions officers across the nation. Also, on loan from the University she was named the Executive Director of Public High Schools in Providence, RI, supervising high school principals and supporting their work as liaison to the district office.

She has also headed two different yet distinguished schools. As Associate Head of Concord Academy, an independent co-ed boarding school, she was responsible for the day to day programming and operations of the school and was subsequently named Principal.  Following that, she became Head of School at the Carroll School in Lincoln, MA where she restructured key elements of the school, led a successful capital campaign, and created a Master’s degree program in collaboration with Lesley University’s President Margaret McKenna, and the Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School.

In 2014, she returned to Brown University as Regional Advancement Director as a key figure in the Brown “Campaign for Academic Enrichment”. She has also done research, writing and fund-raising for a number of schools and non-profits in southern New England as well as serving on numerous boards and committees.

Ms. Lloyd Clark Is a proud graduate of the Bronx High School Science., has a B.A. in Medieval History and Classical Languages from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, and an M.A, from Cornell University in History.
